Job description
Completion Engineer’s responsibilities include but are not limited to the following,
o Involved in offshore/onshore well completion planning.
o Provide supervision of plan on the rig as directed.
o Collate offset drilling and completion data for use in planning.
o Write completion programs for all well types
o Organize planning meetings, CWOP’s as directed and capture all risks in the program.
o Ensure Company database is properly updated and useful for obtaining completion planning information.
o Monitor completion performance and provide benchmark statistics to ensure completions are time and cost effective.
o Provide charts of well completion performance for daily review, and engineering reports for the company as well as reports for NAPIMS and DPR.
o Availability of detailed offset well information for planning.
o Continuous monitor of well plans by means of performance sheets and KPI’s to ensure plans are achieved.
o Proper update and maintenance of well completion database.
o Lessons learnt meetings on all wells.
o Ensure proper and detailed research of offset data for completion of wells.
o Ensure well completion plans are feasible and meet HSE and technical standards.
o Ensure timely provision of completion programs.
o Ensure proper QA/QC is carried out on all completion equipment.
o Improvement of completion practices
o Ensure all completion info is tracked and database properly updated.
o Ensure accurate completion performance data is provided for records.
o Ensure completion performance data are updated regularly as required.
o Ensure all required reports on well completion implementation are distributed to relevant persons daily.
o Ensure completion component of “End of Well” reports are written, detailed and accurate.
o Ensure NPT performance targets are met in well programs.
Requirements
o Completion Engineer will have BS Degree in Engineering
o He/She will have minimum 1-5 years of experience
o Member Society of Petroleum Engineers. Attended industry courses in various aspects of well engineering.
o Good aptitude for engineering. Good grades from engineering school
o Good interpersonal skills, communications and organizational skills are advantageous.
Terms & Conditions
o Work Schedule: Resident based job with 5 working days a week.
o Duration: Initial one year contract (option to extend)
o Reports to Senior Completion Engineer
