Worked Example on Norton’s Theorem

Using
Norton’s theorem, calculate the current in the 6 ohms resistor in the network
shown in the figure below

As seen from the figure above, the short across CD shorts out
the 10Ω and 2Ω resistors. Therefore, the short circuit current (ISC)
is calculated using the current division principle.
