Women for
Women International

is a nongovernmental organization (NGO) based in Washington DC, with a Country
Office in Rwanda and seven other countries around the world. Its mission is to
provide women victims of war and other conflicts with tools and resources to
move from crisis and poverty into stability and self sufficiency, thus
promoting a viable civil society.

Women for Women
International (WfWI) Rwanda is seeking to fill the position of Monitoring and Evaluation
Manager
, to be based in Kigali with travel to field offices as
required. The position is member of the Senior Management Team and reports to
the Deputy Director of Programs.

The Monitoring and
Evaluation (M&E) Manager oversees the successful implementation of all
country office monitoring and evaluation activities through implementation of
established M&E strategies and guidelines. The M&E Manager will work in
coordination with other managers to ensure quality data collection, analysis
and reporting to HQ Global Programs Unit.

MAIN DUTIES
AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Develop field level
framework and schedule of implementation for all components of the M&E
system, in accordance with WfWI strategies and guidelines.
-Manage and provide guidance on all M&E activities in the country office
and promote a culture of “Lessons Learned” and “best practices”.
-Ensure that M&E data is integrated into all country planning, programming,
and reporting.
-Oversee data collection, training of staff in M&E activities and tracking
of program participants and graduates.
-Coordinate special evaluations, impact studies, and community assessments as
needed.
-Consistently compile and report on key M&E information to fulfill data/
information requests from country office and Global Programs Unit.
-Supervise direct reports in line with Women for Women

SKILLS AND
QUALIFICATIONS:

-Master’s Degree in
Social Sciences or related discipline; significant number of years of relevant
work experience may be considered in lieu of advanced degree, but minimum
Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field is required.
-Minimum of 7 years work experience in relevant field, preferably within the
INGO sector, of which at least 3 years at managerial level.
-Proven experience of using participatory tools and methodologies for program
identification, implementation, monitoring and evaluation;
-Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well as a part of a team
and to interact professionally with culturally and linguistically diverse staff
and participants.
-High level of fluency in spoken and written English and Kinyarwanda required.
-Excellent computer skills including working with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
and Email, Database/data entry and analysis experience is required.
