We believe that sustainable agriculture incorporates the health of all
things: the soil, the natural ecosystem, the farmers, the community,
and individual people. With a wholistic and biodynamic approach, we
consider what is best for the entire web of life and farm.
We believe that it is important to put a fair price on our sustenance
to enable sound farming practices and ensure social and environmental
justice. We must treat the land with care if we wish to live well in
return.
The success of our farm is in what we produce. Along with the organic
grain, pastured meat and free-range eggs we sell, our vegetables are
of the highest quality. We harvest all our vegetables when they are
fully ripe, ensuring taste and nutrition is at its peak, often the
same day as the pick up – talk about fresh! We purchase organic seeds
from reputable, conscientious seed companies, selecting over 100
different types including rare and heirloom varieties.
Providing wholesome food for our community is the reason we farm.

We are looking for (2) interns to join our team, who are interested in
learning about life on a mixed organic, biodynamic farm!
Position Details:
Type: Full-time paid position

Reports to: Garden Managers
Responsibilities
• Direct seeding; transplanting; weeding; irrigating; harvesting; and
processing
• Being a part of the vending team at markets
• Maintaining quality standards for the farm
• Performing related work as required
Work Schedule and Compensation
While the hours will vary through the season, one can expect to work
55 hours each week.
Stipend: $200/month, educational hours and room&board
Room and Board include:
• Room (includes utilities, phone, internet, laundry)
• Board (a stocked pantry and fridge of organic food sourced as
locally as much as possible and food from the ONFC)
• Shared access to the farm vehicles (with 100km/month included)
Assets
• An eager desire to learn the principles of organic farming
• Experience working with your body either in a paid labour setting or
an extracurricular sports setting
• Experience in any kind of garden or around plants
• A desire to explore Non-Violent Communication
