DESCRIPTION

WE-ACTx
for HOPE’s mission is to empowervulnerable communities to live healthier and
productive lives. We help people living with and affected by HIV acquire the
skills and capacity they need to fight disease and poverty and live happier and
more productive lives.

WE-ACTx
For Hope is a local NGO legally registered by Rwanda Governance Board; WE-ACTx
For Hope then signed a memo of understanding with the Ministry of Health for
running the medical clinic in partnership with WE-ACTx US and Keep a Child
Alive.

WE-ACTx
for HOPE was granted a legal status by a Ministerial order No. 106/11 of
11/08/2008.

WE-ACTx
For Hope is looking for well dedicated and self-motivated highly qualified Lab
tech A1.

Job
Summary:

Ensure
the cordial reception of patients seen in his department
To
maintain the clinic standards of a professional appearance
Ensure
good conditions in samples handling (collection and transportation)
Perform
laboratory tests specified in the list of PCA
Participate
in meetings and other activities of the clinic
Participate
in the clinical meeting

Responsibilities

Manage
information about its activity (registration of exams and their results);
Manage
products and laboratory equipment stored in different areas, such as
calculation of consumption, inventory, needs assessment, order,
requisition…
Ensure
compliance with the rules of asepsis and hygiene as part of its activities
Ensure
proper clearness within laboratory department and respect of asepsis of
laboratory materials as it is required
Record
the results in the different registers
Communicate
results timely
Participate
in quality control blades
Do
anything else asked by his/her supervisor in the work

Requirements

Must
have Rwandan Nationality
Must
have A1 degree
Demonstrate
experience in the HIV/AIDS Program
Experience
of 3 years in laboratory technical
Excellent
analytical, interpersonal leadership, communication, technical writing and
organizational
Good
knowledge of Rwanda Health System
Fluent
in English and French
Computer
literate in excel, word and power point
