works with children and young people who, as a result of conflict, live with a
combination of poverty, exclusion and insecurity. WCUK currently works in Iraq,
Afghanistan, Uganda, the Democratic Republic of Congo and the Central African
Republic. As well as being known for working in the world’s most dangerous war
zones, War Child runs a successful development education programme in the UK,
which is currently expanding its outreach into Special schools and Pupil
Referral Units.

War Child is looking
for an exceptional volunteer to co-ordinate the Schools Programme as part of
its Campaigns/Advocacy work. The Schools Programme Officer should be able to demonstrate
exceptional initiative, an ability to work patiently and calmly in challenging
environments and an enthusiasm for working with young people.
