The School of Agriculture
a
nd Food Sciences is one of the largest agricultural schools in Australia,

The
role
The School of
Agriculture and Food Sciences seeks to appoint an academic staff member who
will provide both undergraduate and postgraduate students with grounding in the
issues that face animal science and animal production and the analytical and
practical skills required to manage and advise animal science in a changing
agricultural and economic environment.
The successful
applicant will be responsible for undertaking undergraduate and postgraduate
teaching, including course coordination and program development; research,
including Research Higher Degree student supervision; and professional
activities in the field of animal science.
The
person
The successful
applicant will contribute to (and for a Level C appointment provide leadership
in) teaching and research activities in the field of animal science in the
School and University. The appointee will work with the Head of School, the
group leader in animal science, and other staff members in the School to
develop and implement the School’s strategic plan and to integrate the teaching
and research programs in animal science. Located at UQ Gatton campus, the
appointee will be responsible for undergraduate and postgraduate course
coordination, teaching and program development and will be expected to
contribute substantially to the national and international research profile of
the School, supervise research students, obtain external grant funding, and
undertake professional activities.
Remuneration
This is a full-time
continuing appointment at Academic Level B or C.
The remuneration for
Academic Level B will be in the range $89,458.97 – $106,232.23 p.a., plus
employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be
$104,666.99 – $124,291.71 p.a.).
The remuneration for
Academic Level C will be in the range $109,586.85 – $126,360.11 p.a. plus
employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be
$128,216.61 – $147,841.33 p.a.)
