JOB DESCRIPTION:
Purpose of the post: Under the supervision of the Construction Specialist, P-3 (Post #71967), the incumbent will perform administrative functions as follows:
Major tasks to be accomplished:
• Collect and assemble data and background information with regard to construction activities and provide updated information on programme/project financial and administrative status for analysis and report purposes;
• Organize data and information, prepares and maintains records, drafts contracts, documents and control plans for the monitoring of project/programme implementation.
• Prepares tables, graphs or other statistical data for technical review/monitoring purposes;
Liaise with the Senior Budget Assistant for the proper allocation of Inputs to the appropriate project activities;
• Monitor the Construction Programme Budget and advice on expenditure levels and PBA expiration dates;
• Communicates with counterparts on project detail. Recommends course of action to the Supervisor;
• Performs other duties, as required.

Education:
• Completion of secondary education;
• Knowledge of using computer, Microsoft office; thorough knowledge of modern office procedures;
• ability to operate word-processing equipment may be required.
• Knowledge of protocol.
Work Experience:
• Five (5) years experience in progress reporting, monitoring, etc.
Language: Fluency in English required; good knowledge of local languages.
Competencies: Communication, working with people, drive for results, analyzing, applying technical expertise, planning and organizing, following instructions and procedures, adapting and responding to change.
Duration of the Appointment: Three (3) months (with possibility of extension)
