Context and Justification
UNICEF Rwanda’s
fundraising strategy requires outreach to current and prospective donors,
including the private sector. In addition, the office’s communication strategy
calls for the production and marketing of key results. As preparation of

understanding how to develop win-win scenarios, particularly to write proposals
in a manner that is attractive and understandable (without being technical) the
office requires someone who can understand donor requests.
In addition, UNICEF requires the skills and
expertise of someone who can produce newsletters specifically targeted to
donors and who has worked with donors on fundraising and understands the
expectations and demands of both parties.
UNICEF also requires someone with
technical, conceptual and writing skills that can produce advocacy and best
practice briefs that can show donors and partners the value added of UNICEF
work in Rwanda.
As the office has moved to social media, the
communication section requires someone with skills in this area, who can write
updates that are specifically targeted to the audience of this medium,
