be creating group itineraries, working closely with suppliers and work to
company targets and deadlines

This leading Travel Company, located centrally on the Gold Coast are in need of
a Groups Manager who is hands on to lead and motivate their team of 8
consultants

JOB DESCRIPTION:
* Liaise with clients and suppliers to negotiate group rates
* Liaise with internal stakeholders, eg Product team
* Create group travel itineraries
* Pricing and documentation
* General administration
* Ensure the Groups Department are achieving sales targets and meeting
deadlines
* Ensure growth and improvement of general processes
* Management of small team
* Service level to consistently exceed expectations.
* Ability to work overtime when required to ensure deadlines are met.
* Coordinate deposit and balance payments
* Ability to be on-site at Events to over-see smooth running of the event

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
* Ability to motivate and drive a small team
* Experience managing a small team in Groups/Event travel
* Experience working on group/Event bookings
* Sales, marketing & travel qualifications beneficial
* Outstanding customer service skills
* Solid CRS skills
* Media groups experience is advantageous
* Experience dealing with groups of 500+ over-seeing complete travel management
* Ability to work to team targets
* Solid Excel skills
* Ability to multi-task and think outside of the box to problem solve
