Toll People – Victoria Dispatch Team Leader Job Vacancy in Australia

Working for a well established company Toll People
are looking for a driven individual with the ability to lead and assist with
all aspects of inbound operations. The team leader is responsible for the
execution of all inbound functions as directed by their supervisor. This role
would include motivating and leading the team to ensure objectives and KPI’s
are achieved. Effective interaction and communication with large teams of
people is essential to this role. This is a contract role, with terms to
be discussed.  

This position involves Early starts generally
5am with the potential to be required between 2:30am-3:30am on some days.
The ideal candidate would posses some of the
following attributes:
  • Experience in leading & motivating a team
    to achieve targets
  • Sound understanding of warehouse functions, processes
    & systems
  • IT literate & technically minded
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Excellent numeric & literary skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Investigative & analytical ability
  • High attention to detail
  • Forklift experience including High Reach
The duties of the position are as follows:
  • Managing a large team
  • Ensure all OH&S guidelines are followed to
    ensure a safe work environment
  • Supervision & leadership of team members
    to ensure objectives & KPI’s are met
  • Prioritising of replenishment to facilitate
    assembly on time
  • Timely & accurate Goods matching & Put
    away to meet KPI’s
  • Timely & accurate receiving to meet KPI’s
  • Running & analysis of Reports &
    preparing & initiating action
  • Providing data/information to supervisors
  • Participating in various discussions &
    meetings
  • Dispatch and transport experience preferred
  • Labour planning according to forecast volumes
    to meet KPI’s
  • Sourcing & entering data
  • Monitoring staff in all functions to maximise
    rates & ensure rotation of stock
  • Work with Assembly Team Leader to maximise
    staff efficiencies in Assembly & Receiving
  • Provide training to all operators &
    succession planning in criteria areas
  • Encourage new ideas & improvements via the
    OFI process
  • Hold regular Toolbox meetings with staff to
    communicate both negative & positive results
It is essential that you have a “can do”
hands on approach with strong organisational skills.
