BASIC INFORMATION:
Job Base: TH Head Office, Zwedru, Grand Gedeh County with extensive travel required in South Eastern Counties
Start Date: Immediately
Length of commitment: 6 months with possible renewal, 3 month probation period to start.
Reports to: Program Officer
Working Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm, with some additional hours required as project demands.

OVERALL JOB PURPOSE:
The Innovative Methods of Adherence (IMA) project is a joint program of Tiyatien Health, Ministry of Health and Social Welfare, National AIDS Control Program (NACP), participating health facilities and People Living with HIV/AIDS support groups. The Adherence Officer will oversee the Innovative Methods of Adherence program at project sites located in the southeast region (Sinoe, River Gee, Grand Kru, Maryland, and River Cess counties) by ensuring the correct delivery and impact of home-based care for HIV/AIDS. The Adherence Officer will work with the Program Officer and other management team members on budgeting, planning, training, and reporting at these regional sites.

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Oversee recruitment and retention of accompaniers, accompanier leaders and field supervisors.
2. Oversee field supervisors in ensuring that field supervisors, accompaniers and accompanier leaders are fulfilling their responsibilities.
3. Organize quarterly supervision and monitoring visits.
4. Develop curricula for, organize, and run initial and ongoing accompanier trainings.
5. Serve as a link between clinical providers, field supervisors, accompaniers, accompanier leaders, monitoring and evaluation teams, and TH management.
6. With the Program Officer, liaise with the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare, National AIDS Control Program, and other partners on issues relating to the IMA project including advising on adherence projects.
7. Ensure field supervisors are providing feedback on the accompanier program and are contacting accompaniers if they have instructions for their patients.
8. Ensure proper collection and storage of patients’ records and forms.
9. Terminate employment, with due reason, of any accompaniers or accompanier leaders who are not performing their duty safely, accurately and timely, with the notification and approval of the clinic providers, Program Officer, and TH management.
10. Perform other tasks as may be requested by your Line Manager/Management.
11. Adhere to the organization’s financial, behavior, and ethics policies.

JOB REQUIREMENT:
1. Commitment to equity and social justice
2. Licensed nurse or physician’s assistant preferred (proof of certificate required)
3. College degree required
4. At least one year experience working in health care delivery at the clinical level at MoHSW health facility.
5. At least one year experience preferable in relief/development work – preferably working in community-based setting.
6. Experience managing field teams
7. Experience managing health projects-especially projects related to HIV/AIDS
8. Excellent organizational skills with regard to administration and planning use of time effectively and efficiently
9. Strong computer skills: must be competent in the use of MS Windows, MS Office Programs including MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint, and Gmail.
10. Highest ethical integrity and respect for patient confidentiality.
11. Must be able work independently while a strong team player.
12. Willingness to conduct field work with overnight stays.
