arts organization, has created the new contract position of: Co-ordinator, Sponsorship Media
Initiatives

TIFF is dedicated to presenting the best of
international and Canadian cinema
to film lovers in our home TIFF Bell Lightbox.  Our aim is to become a
creative, community and global leader, and one of the world’s premiere
organizations in the discovery and understanding of film. We are seeking a
highly motivated individual who wants to be a part of our ever growing team,
and be part of Toronto’s cultural history.

The Sponsorship Team is responsible for sourcing, developing and growing
corporate partnerships to generate revenue opportunities for TIFF, including
the Toronto International Film Festival and TIFF Bell Lightbox.

This is a new position within the organization, created to support the
Director, Sponsorship Media Initiatives. The role involves administrative
functions as well as facilitating the execution of new business projects,
largely within the media landscape (i.e. television, print, digital, etc.), as
they pertain directly to sponsor involvement.

Responsibilities:
•Oversee and support the execution of sponsor activations, largely within the
media territory, but also as required within the overall Sponsorship Department
(i.e. TIFF Festival-related tasks)
•Work with internal and external stakeholders to bring projects to life and
ensure deliverables are met against agreements
•Create, follow and manage project workback schedules against deadlines and
ensure successful completion
•Support and provide exceptional service to existing corporate sponsors
•Participate in department business development efforts including ideation and
research
•Track and assist in reports as necessary
•Develop and format sales and new business project materials
•Supervise volunteers on various tasks as required
•Assist with departmental administrative tasks
•Some evening and weekend hours required during peak event periods

Contract Dates: 
April 6, 2015 to December 31, 2015 (potential for renewal in 2016)

Minimum Requirements:
•2 years logistics coordination experience working within a multi-platform
media environment (i.e. television, magazine, newspaper, digital, radio, etc.)
•2 year post-secondary education (University or College) within a related
discipline (Sponsorship, Media, Project Management)
•2 years related experience working with sales or sponsorship clients in a
program execution capacity
•Demonstrated ability to diplomatically work with multiple stakeholders
•Organized and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
•Strong interpersonal and communication skills
•Self-motivated; ability to work independently as well as collaboratively as
part of a team
•Problem solver
•Detail-oriented and process-driven
•Imaginative/Innovative
•Adaptable to a flexible schedule including some evenings and weekends
