SUPPLY
& DISTRIBUTION MANAGER
Job Purpose:
The Supply & Distribution Manager is responsible for managing and
optimizing the physical supply chain. The role will ensure that we effectively
manage product sourcing, receipt, storage & distribution and
development/maintenance of the necessary facilities to Group Health Safety
Security Environment & operational standards.
Requirements
Qualifications
& experience:
- The
ideal candidate must have as a minimum a university degree, preferably in
Engineering and demonstrable track record in managing physical supply
chain. - Self-motivated,
mature and the ability to analyse and develop solutions to a wide range of
technical and operational challenges. - Safety
focused with an uncompromising approach to risk management. - A sound
knowledge of Retail and Commercial business is desirable. Exposure to
business process improvement activities and application of business
controls as well as working knowledge of ISO 9000 Quality Management
System would be an added advantage
Principal
Accountabilities:
- Develop
and implement long term distribution strategies for the company - Manage
all aspects of product supply, product receipt, storage of products, road
transport, and stock control. - Manage
Capex & Opex budgets in order to optimise unit costs per volume
delivered. This includes overseeing design, construction and maintenance
of all assets and installations. - Manage
the Order Fulfilment process and Lubes warehouse operations to meet
customer requirements as per Service Level Agreements - Implement
the Company’s risk control and business assurance framework - Proactively
managent of Health, Safety, Security and Environmental as per Group
standards and develop a pro-active culture within the operations - Coach
and develop staff in order to raise competence levels, maintain
professionalism and develop an effective succession plan - Manage
internal partnerships with other class of business such as Retail and
Commercial and other functions such as Finance. - Actively
participate in industry initiatives to influence operating standards - Ensure
contingency plans work and cover the risks of service disruptions
