Job Description:

Homestead Helpers needed. Seeking a couple that is passionate about sustainable
living and wanting to live an “off the-grid-in-the-wilderness” lifestyle. We
own a homestead off the Atlin Lake halfway down the Atlin road. Our homestead
has a house with solar power, 3 guest cabins, a barn, a greenhouse, a farrier
cabin, and a dock into the river. It is a very special and beautiful land to
us, filled with countless medicinal plants and wildflowers. We enjoy an upfront
view of the mountain, river, and lake. We are looking for a couple to come and
live and work with us to build a long term vision towards a sustainable
eco-village, and a path towards a conscious humanity. If you have children –
that’s a bonus!

Our areas of interest and development on this land are: Subsistence living
camp, land-based healing practices, all forms art, education, primitive skills,
plant medicine, indigenous practices, transformation of culture, Non-Violent
Communication, yoga, mindfulness, and spirituality.

We would ask one person be responsible for:
• Homeschooling
• Cooking
• Cleaning
• Child Care
• Help in the garden – that’s something we all do!

We would ask one person to be responsible for:
• General maintenance of the facilities
• Ongoing construction projects
• Hunting and Harvesting
• Caring for the animals
• And, of course, help in the garden

If one of these positions is right for you, you probably have some of these
skills, experience, or qualities:
• Experience working with children
• Experience teaching
• Experience in construction in maintenance
• Experience in the wilderness either living or working
• Garden experience is helpful, but not necessary, it’s easy to learn. What you
do need is interest and passion around sustainable lifestyle.
• Amazing communication skills
• A deep willingness to always be growing and learning
• A sober and healthy lifestyle

Remuneration:
• Housing
• Board
• $1000 stipend per month, per person, for a 30 hr work commitment per week.

We are looking for people who already live in the Yukon or want to move here
permanently. We are not looking to temporarily house travelers. We do expect to
