Technician / Engineering – Ramp Transition Engineering

BROAD FUNCTIONS:
• Assist engineers in new product transfers to WDM.
• Assist engineers in coordinating factory evaluations, new products transfer as when required.
• Assist engineers in control of product information from sources such as Configuration Control Chart and Head Media matrix.
• Provide Engineering organization with data collection and information.
• Responsible for PCS updates.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

Regular
• Work closely with AQM Engineer/ MFG Team to ensure correct execution of evaluation builds and follow up AQM work assignment
• Responsible for the preparation (EPO, EEN), maintenance and operations of evaluation builds.
• Team leader in execution of evaluation in production lines.
• Authorized to make calculated risk calls on issues pertaining to evaluation builds.
• Accountable for ensuring evaluation builds are executed in a controlled manner whereby they are not producing “Process induced Defects”.

Irregular
• Data collection for new products and qualification as directed by engineers.
• Participate / assist engineers in special engineering improvement projects from time to time.
• Assist the NPI engineers in coordination of Design or Verification build (HSAs / Drives).
• Ensure commonality/standardization among same process/system within related manufacturing sites
