CONTEXT

SDMR is envisioned as a programme to support the transformation of the mining sector in Rwanda, by facilitating an enabling environment for the business of mining and improving the livelihoods of rural working poor in the artisanal and small-scale mining sector in Rwanda.
The
Capacity DevelopmentIntervention is designed to support the ongoing process of mining regime review which include ; a) Finalisation of National Mining Policy, b) Mining regime updates (including sector legislation, regulations, standards and policies), c) mine rehabilitation and mine closure performance bond strategy, and d) Beneficiation & value chain addition strategy.
