Our client is currently looking for
a liability underwriter to join their growing team.
Working very closely with a senior underwriter you will learn from some of the best in the industry.
The portfolio is predominantly corporate clients where you will be expected to develop broker relationships and in time business develop.
You will be responsible for:
• Underwriting the Liability / Casualty book of business with the senior underwriter
• Building and maintain successful relationships with brokers and intermediaries
• Supporting implementation of business strategy and profitable growth
The successful applicant must have the following experience, skills and qualifications:
• At least 3 years experience as an assistant or junior Liability / casualty underwriter
• Ability to demonstrate a good understanding and knowledge of liability in the mid market – corporate sector
• Strong relationship management skills
• Strong problem solving, analytical and judgement skills
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, as well as ability to influence at a senior level
Most importantly it is essential that you have the motivation and drive to build and grow this book of liability business and make it a true market leader.
