providing specialized quality health care, training (including internship and
Post Graduate Medical Doctors) and research. Guided by Christian values,
integrity, professionalism and hard work; the hospital provides specialist
services in Surgery, Internal Medicine, Paediatrics, Obstetrics and
Gynaecology, Radiology, and Laboratory Services.


The
Hospital is seeking competent self—motivated, proactive, experienced and
committed individuals with proven track records to fill vacancies for the
positions of Deputy Medical Director and Chief internal Auditor.

Job
Title
: Deputy Medical Director
Reports
To: Medical Director

Job
Purpose
:
The role
of Deputy Medical Director is to provide oversight of the plans, processes and
procedures leading to the total clinical throughput of the hospital. The Deputy
Medical Director shall be responsible for all the Medical/Clinical care and
diagnostic activities and staff.

Key
Responsibilities:

  • Plan
    and develop Clinical programs.
     
  • Provide
    overall leadership and guidance in all clinical, diagnostics and related
    disciplines.
     
  • Promote
    the hospital values during the execution of all health care and
    administrative activities in the hospital.
     
  • Provide
    guidance to the budgeting process for the clinical departments to ensure
    that the budget conforms to the Hospitals strategic plan.
     
  • Provide
    oversight of the Hospital and Training School to ensure a positive
    training environment for the hospitals Internship and Postgraduate
    Programs.
     
  • Promote
    a research centered approach internally, and in collaboration with
    international organizations.
Key
Requirements:
  • A
    degree in Medicine with a Postgraduate Qualification in any of the six
    disciplines: Internal Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynaecology and
    Paediatrics, Pathology and Radiology.
     
  • A
    minimum of 5 years of experience in clinical service in a referral
    hospital.
     
  • A
    current Professional/Practicing Medical License.
     
  • Ability
    to think at a strategic level.
     
  • Ability
    to plan and organize.
     
  • Ability
    to lead, motivate and develop multicultural teams.
     
  • Ability
    to pursue high standards of excellence within agreed policies and
    practices.
     
  • Ability
    to drive and deliver set results.
     
  • A
    diploma/Degree in Management is an Added Advantage.
