Summary of the Role: The Programme Director is
responsible for supporting the National Director in the overall management and
development of SOS programmes and facilities in Rwanda. He or she helps guide
the implementation of the SOS mission in Rwanda, leading key management staff
and other co-workers, and ensuring SOS standards, policies and principles are
realised. The Programme Director assists in leading the strategic planning and
budgeting process, and supports the National Director in the effective
management of financial and other resources, staff development, fund-raising,
and public representation and advocacy.

Qualifications and experience:
Advanced
degree in a relevant subject area, e.g. development studies, public policy
& planning, social sciences, education, project management, leadership etc.

years proven strategic and programme management experience within the context
of an integrated development and humanitarian work in Rwanda or the Great lakes
