Legal Officer
SONARWA GENERAL INSURANCE COMPANY seeks to recruit qualified professional,experienced
and self-motivated for the following position;

Job title: Legal Officer
Major Responsibilities
- Review all potential
legal cases and advise on best course of action.
- Prepare all legal
files for recovery and liaise with external lawyers where necessary to
recover all outstanding payments to the Company.
- Prepare case files for
lawyers and ensure that copies are filed in legal department.
- Follow up on legal
proceedings including attending major court cases and ensure
implementation of court rulings where necessary.
- Monitor all appeal
cases.
- Review and update
legal reserves regularly based on the materiality of the corresponding
court cases.
- Provide advice on all
out-court settlement transactions.
- Implement the court
decision before bailiff enforcement.
- Provide periodic
report on court submissions and summons.
Educational requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in
Law
- Post graduate diploma
in law practice (added advantage)
Working experience
- Cumulative
professional experience: 3years – ideally in private sector – in corporate
business or law firm
