Description
SNV seeks Senior Advisor/Project
Manager Sanitation and Hygiene/Nutrition to join a project on Integrated
Nutrition and Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene Activity (INWA) with the aim to
improve the nutritional stat

Nutrition and Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene Activity (INWA) with the aim to
improve the nutritional stat
us of women of reproductive age and children under
five years of age, with an emphasis on the 1,000 day window of opportunity from
pregnancy until a child’s second birthday, in support of the
Government of Rwanda’s (GOR) efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage the planning, inception, implementation,
closing and workforce of the SNV Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) components
of the INWA program;
2. Supervision and leading the SNV WASH project team members;
3. Coordination of the CBEHPP trainings to local leaders at
district and sector level in assistance of the 2 Sanitation and Hygiene
Technical advisors in the project team;
4. Coordination of the trainings of Community Health Clubs
and SAHOs on mobile reporting to motivate accurate reporting, and
monitoring/verification visits, in assistance of the 2 Sanitation and Hygiene
Technical advisors in the project team;
5. Coordination of the LCSO trainings on CBEHPP (including
development of training modules)
6. Overall coordination and support to the WASH Private
Sector Expert executing the Private Sector Trainings (including development of
modules) trainings on 1) technical skills 2) management/leadership 3) business
planning 4) supply chain development;
7. Presents and pro- active support in the National WATSAN
sector Working Group Meetings lead by the Ministry of Infrastructure

Candidate Profile:
· A Master’s degree or higher in sanitation and hygiene or in
a closely related field is required;
· At least eight years of progressively increasing technical
project management responsibility in the field of sanitation and Hygiene,
including experience with direct supervision of professional staff, preferably
with a program of an
equivalent size and scope is highly desirable;
· Experience interacting with developing country government,
international organization, other bilateral donor and civil society
representatives, and senior level government officials is desirable;
· Demonstrated ability to establish and sustain professional
relationships with civil society organizations and host country government
counterparts is desirable;
· Excellent communicator with demonstrated experience in
communicating processes to diverse stakeholders, including government officials
at the national, provincial and district levels, service-orientated NGOs, civil
society organizations, donors, etc. is desirable;
· Excellent ability to communicate effectively in English,
both verbally and in writing required.
· Level IV (fluent – speaking/reading/writing) Kinyarwanda
language ability is Desirable.
