JOB ANNOUNCEMENT
SFB is recruiting for the following jobs:
Librarian in charge of User services (external services) (1 post)
Duties and responsibilities:
– To coordinate all activities concerning documents circulation (borrowing, returns, delays, penalties)
– To coordinate all activities of receiving and guiding users (user orientation)
– To ensure that discipline is kept in the library by users
– To produce statistics of visits of Library and circulation of documents
– To organize the schedules of rotation
– To coordinate the inter-library lending of books
– To coordinate the activities of arranging the documents on the shelves
– To coordinate the activities of arranging documents returned after use
The subsidiary activities are the following :
– To receive, treat periodicals (magazines, journals)
– Checking of the order (ordering books)
– Participating in classification, indexing and cataloging
– Participating in make minor repair of documents
– Participating in processing new acquisitions
– User services on selected evenings
– Interim of Director of Library while his leave, when the Librarian in charge of internal services is not available
Required minimum:
Bachelor’s Degree in Library or information science with at least one year experience in Library management.
