Background:

Savings Banks
foundation for International Cooperation (SBFIC’s a German NGO which is
promoting the Micro-Finance Sector in Rwanda

Financial education
is a very important matter that involves not only investors, but also families
to help them keep a balanced budget.

AMIR – with the
support of SBFIC – established a financial Education Program in Rwanda to
encourage the Rwandan population to think about their future by changing their
habits and

•            
build financial capacity of target groups (students, parents, teachers)

•            
educate people to differentiate between needs and desires

•            
teach people to create saving plans

•            
help the population to fix financial objectives.

Job
responsibilities:

1. Educate the youth
and

their parents as well as teachers in financial education and to good saving
practices, arrange and execute savings mobilization activities

2. Initiate and
manage a range of partnerships that will successfully contribute to the
completion of SBFIC/AMIR projects

3. Write regular
acting plans and narrative reports

4. Insure that all
partners (Ministries, BNR, targeted districts and sectors, schools and others)
are informed and associated to our activities

5. Write field
reports

6. Other tasks added
in the course.

Minimum
qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree
in economics, finance or any related subject

2. At least 2 or 3
years’ experience in the micro-finance sector

3. MS Office Suit
mastery

4. Excellent
interpersonal and communication skills

5. High experience
in financial education

6. Strong background
in education in Rwanda

7. fluent in
Kinyarwanda, I English and I French.

3. Core
competencies:

1. Highly and
effective communicator and public speaker

2. Excellent writing
skills

3. Dynamic and fast
moving in implementing the activities

4. Have proven
skills in financial management S. Mature with high integrity in terms of having
self-discipline

6. A strong
knowledge of the Micro-finance sector.
