ambitious strategy for scaling up child-centred climate change adaptation
programs in the Asia Pacific region and beyond, demonstrating that children not
only have a voice in the future they w
ill inherit, but that their capacities
can contribute to shaping a world where those most impacted are able to adapt
and thrive in the face of unavoidable climate change.

Where you come in:
In this full-time, maximum-term position based in our new and dynamic head
office in Carlton, you will lead our ambitious plans to scale up child-centred
climate change adaption programming, identify and develop strategic
relationships with governments, donors, the UN and multilateral organisations,
and drive quality programing for the benefit of vulnerable children impacted by
climate change. You will be part of our International Program Department in the
new Technical Services team and report to the Head of Technical Services.
You will make an
impact by:
- Building
a substantial portfolio of child-centred climate change adaptation
programs in the Asia Pacific region - Driving
the integration of climate change across our wider program portfolio and
organisational strategies - Channelling
the voices of children into regional and global climate change policy
dialogues - Supporting
our country offices and program staff to adopt evidence-based best
practice for climate change adaption programming - Growing
and managing a high performing and dynamic climate change team
We want you to be
successful. Therefore, as a minimum, you’ll need:
- Significant
direct experience of designing climate change programs for an
international organisation, preferably in a managerial role - A
proven track record for the successful implementation of climate change
adaptation programs in development contexts - Significant
experience of working in the Asia and / or Pacific region - Knowledge
and understating of the Green Climate Fund’s policies, structures and
systems - Tertiary
qualification/s in Climate Change, International Development,
Social/Political Science or relevant and/or related disciplines
