The RTI Malawi –
Early G
rade Reading Activity (EGRA) is seeking a qualified candidate to fill
the vacant position of Human Resources Manager, the Malawi early Grade reading
Activity (EGRA) is a 3-yr, United States Agency for international development
(USAID) Activity designed to provide technical assistance to the Ministry of
Education, Science and Technology (MoEST) in improving the reading performance
of students in standards 1 to 3
The HR Manager will
be based in Lilongwe main office at Area 10 but ill be expected to travel and
support the field offices too
Specific
roles:
In
collaboration with the EGRA Chief of Party, the HRM will assist and advise on
staff recruitment, assist in new hire orientation and on boarding, assist n in
training and development, assist in performance management, assist in employee
relations and oversee all aspects of HR Administration including ensuring that
all EGRA HR activities comply with RTI and USAID established policies and
procedures and guide the development of the Human Resources function and
ensuring that EGRA and organisational objectives are supported, and personnel
policies are updated and remain relevant
Desirable
Attributes:
The ideal candidate
will have at least a Bachelors Degree in Human Resource, Social Science or
Public Administration, At least 7 yrs of relevant progressive experience in HR
Management and operations that should include experience working for a donor
funded organisation within a project setting
She/he will also
have demonstrated and professional competence and success in project HR service
delivery within a multicultural environment and will also possess up to date
knowledge of HR management subject matter including delivery mechanisms and
relevant labour laws and regulations
