As a financial & regulatory accountant, you
will work closely with other members of the financial team, especially the
legal entity controller. As part of this team, you will engage stakeholders throughout
the organization, so communication and interpretation / analysis of the
financial information is crucial.

Daily and Monthly Accounting Duties:
– Month end close responsibilities including
posting journals, legal entity review and controls
– Preparation of daily reg

ulatory reports and
management reports as part of a shared team responsibility

– Preparation of monthly prudential and regulatory
returns for including analytical review of variances and submission to the
regulatory bodies (primarily APRA)
– Reporting on intercompany accounts with local and
offshore legal entities including reconciling, investigating and resolving any
intercompany breaks
– Preparation of monthly balance sheet
reconcilities for certain legal entities
– Preparation of tax effect accounting entries
Quarterly and Annual Reporting
– Quarterly financial analysis of legal entities
within the group
– Preparaton and review of various quarterly
reporting templates
– Assist the tax group with quarterly reporting for
income tax
– Preparation of annual financial statements for
certain Australian legal entities and liaising with external audtiors
Key Requirements
– Approximately 2 years of work experience
– Must have started or completed CA/CPA program
– Big 4 CA post-qualified CAs on WHV encouraged to
apply
– Experience working in financial services or in a
chartered firm required
– Intermediate to advanced PC skills (Microsoft
Word and Excel)
– Knowledge of Oracle general ledger or equivalent
system preferable but not required
– Previous experience with prudential and
regulatory reporting experience is desirable
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills
