Job Title: Research Fellow (Microeconomist)
Main Duties:
– Undertake empirical microeconomic policy research and analysis
– Engage in commissioned work for and on behalf of the Centre
– Based on research findings and sound analysis, contribute to national policy discourse.
Requirements:
– Minimum of Master’s degree by coursework & research in Economics, Agricultural Economics or Statistics from a recognized University.
– Recent graduates of doctoral degree in (a) shall be added advantage.
– Comprehensive knowledge of, and ability to apply modern economic theory and methods.
– Strong analytical skills.
– Proven high level writing skills as primary author in published research papers, review etc.
– Demonstrated ability to use STATA, EViews, GAMS or GAUSS for data analysis
– Unquestionable integrity.
– A minimum of six years working experience in relevant public or private sector institutions, three of which should be in policy-oriented work.
