About REIAMA – The Renewable
Energy Industries Association of Malawi (REIAMA) is a fully registered grouping
of companies, individuals and NGOs that deal in or are interested in the
promotion of Renewable Energy Technologies. This is a dynamic,
association revived in November 2014 and boasts of more than 100 members dealing
in Solar, Biogas, Wind, Hydro and Biomass technologies
The Association wishes to employ
an Execu
tive Director and a Finance Officer who will be running the Secretariat
on day-to-day basis. The posts are tenable in Lilongwe. The
Executive Director will be reporting to the Chairman of the Board of the
Association while the Finance Officer will be reporting to the Executive
Director
To manage the Secretariat on a
day-to-day basis, including staff and members of the association, Providing
secretarial services to the Executive body of the Association, Organising
meetings and appointments for the Executive body, Lobbying for support from
various stakeholders, i.e. government, donor community and members, This shall
include coming up with proposals and strategic plans targeting various
stakeholders, Compiling budgets, reports and action plans, Establishing links
with other associations and site visits to member companies and projects that
have a bearing on the activities of the association, Any other duties as assigned
by the Executive body
Must have Bachelor Degree in
either Sciences or Economics or equivalent, Self-starter and prior experience
in working with donor funded projects is essential, Minimum of 2 years
experience at senior management level in Ngo or Public sector
