ReForest London Communications Coordinator Job Vacancy in Ontario, Canada

Summary:

Through Canada Summer Jobs, a 16 week job placement program, the Communications
Coordinator will report to the Partnerships and Marketing Manager to assist
with communications, social media content, graphic design, event planning, and
Partner stewardship development.

We are looking for a student who can effectively develop and produce various
communications materials including social media content as well as assist in
ongoing communications initiatives to engage the public, Million Tree Challenge
Partners, and the media.

Qualifications:
• Current university or college student returning to school in the fall in one
of the following fields of study: Communications, Media Arts, Public Relations
or Marketing.
• Between the ages of 15 – 30
• Legally eligible to work in Canada

Experience:
• Experience in communications, customer service, marketing, and public
relations
• Experience working in a non-profit environment is an asset

Skills:
• Well-developed communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strategic thinker
• Social media experience including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram
• Photography/Video
• Storytelling
• Intermediate computer skills, including Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign &
Photoshop)
• Knowledge of tree species and desire to work for an environmental
organization preferred
• Diplomatic, tactful, professional, punctual

Responsibilities:
• Create and schedule social media content
• Develop and promote Million Tree Challenge Partner stories and
accomplishments
• Assist with development and implementation of Partner stewardship materials
• Assist with ongoing marketing and communications
• Assist with event planning
• Media Relations
• Other duties as assigned

Remuneration:
This is a full-time, 40 hours per week position lasting up to 16 weeks this
summer through Canada Summer Jobs. Pay is $11.50/hour.
