serve the following post:
Project Title : Voluntary Medical Male Circumcision Efficiency
Implementation Strategy for Rwanda

Duration : 12 months renewable
BACKGROUND:
The post is attached to the Rwanda Biomedical Centre/Medical Research Centre
in Kigali, Rwanda. We are seeking a Project Manager for the establishment and
management of the PrePex project to evaluate whether a new approach to
medical male circumcision, as performed by minimally skilled healthcare
professionals, has the potential to accelerate global scale-up of adolescent
and adult male circumcision as an I IIV prevention intervention in low- and
middle-income countries and to assure the Adult male MC is done in safe and
effective manner
PURPOSE:
The purpose of this project is to evaluate the potential of MC using PrePex
as a safe
and scalable HIV prevention intervention in Rwanda and other low- and
middle-income countries. The project will be carried out in three phases
within three health facilities (KIBAGABAGA District Hospital, MASAKA District
Hospital and RWAMAGANA District hospital)
A Phase 1 of Planning the implementation of an MC Center of Excellence PrePex
10,000 MC Implementation – Satellite Studies –PrePex Aaotescents NIL Study
DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
– Overseeing the general conduct of the project
– Assisting the PrePex Project Principal Investigator in the Medical Research
Centre in the implementation and conduct of this Project
– Responsible for data collection and data quality in accordance with the
rules of Good Clinical Practice (GCP);
– Assisting the project management and coordination of project throughout the
study at the three hospital sites: Development of Study research protocols,
– contribution to redaction of the study case report forms and client cards,
Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), patient informed consent forms, reports
according to GCP;
– Contributing the study monitoring and quality assurance;
– Management of the circuit of data collection between the three sites;
– Monitoring and reporting of serious adverse events, protocol deviations;
– Regular updating of computer tables for monitoring and the management of
the reporting system;
– Processing checks data consistency;
– Organizing meetings of the Project and drafting of reports;
– The establishment of administrative procedures for opening and closing of
the project;
– Participating in training the study teams and ensuring that all study staff
are adequately informed as to the protocol requirements;
– Establishing a strong relationship with key management and technical staff
at the three sites.
– Other duties are required by the supervisor.
CONDITIONS REQUIRED:
* Rwandan National;
* Educational Background: Post Graduates degree in biological Sciences or a
related field. Candidates with PhD level will have an added advantage to
their candidacy.
* Five years of proven field experience in Research.
* Experience in development of research protocols, Standard Operating
Manuals, and activity implementation plans.
* Proven ability to work effectively in different clinical settings required
for the job;
* Ability to work within a team;
* Familiarity with Good Clinical Practice and all other applicable
requirements; 0 Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
* Excellent computer skills in Data analysis
* Fluency in English and French.
