RBC/ IHDPC is a formed public- health institution under the Ministry of Health. Its mission is to prevent and control infectious diseases such as HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, malaria and epidemic infectious diseases at the national level.
The RBC/IHDPC/Malaria and other Parasitic Diseases Division is currently seeking 3 highly motivated and hardworking individual to serve the following post:
Job title : SUPERVISOR
Supervisor : The malaria Epidemiologist specialist
Duration : One year renewable
Tasks and responsibilities (duties)
• Visit and supervise districts in the Region and district hospitals once a quarter to a minimum;
• To be involved yourself in the fight against malaria: study the strategic plan and sub-plans which exist at the Malaria §OPD Division;
• Provide technical assistance to regions in the development and implementation of their health plans;
• Assist districts in the integration of control activities against malaria in their health plan;
• Organize and participate in training organized by the Malaria §OPD Division at the regional level;
• Organize workshops for health officials of regional, district and hospital managers;
• Provide a framework of integrated supervision to districts for use at health centers;
• Provide tools for monitoring and evaluating activities against malaria districts eg. tool for monitoring distribution of mosquito nets, a tool for monitoring compliance with the treatment policy;
• Assist districts to develop their training database of all trainings;
• Analyze the data collected / give feedback to the districts and strengthen their capacities;
• Assist districts to better organize networks of health facilitators in the community;
• Participate in capacity building of associations of community health workers, development of micro and participate in monitoring;
• Propose solutions to problems and advise the Head of the Malaria §OPD Division of the findings of the field;
• Sort the records of supervision and provide quarterly and annual report;
Qualifications required
A potential candidate for the position of Supervisor should have/be:
– Rwandan by nationality;
– Computer literate (MS Word, Ms Excel; Power point…);
– A degree A0 in a para-medical field (clinical psychology);
– Have experience of at least 3 years in the health system;
– Perfect knowledge of French, English and Kinyarwanda;
