Position Description: Rwanda Zambia HIV Research Group is seeking management interns in the areas of Laboratory and Project Administration.PROJECT ADMINISTRATION INTERNS:
Supervise financial accounting and reporting requirements as well as countless auxiliary functions required of RZHRG’s donor funded research activities. Work closely with accounting personnel to provide supervision in the following areas; management of multiple bank accounts, reconciliation of cash accounts, supervision of accounts payable, procurement and verification of financial reports. In addition, the admin intern will provide leadership in the areas of human resource management and staff development.

Qualifications:
REQUIREMENTS:
Masters degree from an accredited North American or European University in a relevant field of study. Previous experience in the areas of project management, accounting, human resource management is desired.
Organization Description: Emory University is expanding activities at the three research sites in Africa – Kigali, Rwanda; and the cities of Lusaka and Ndola in Zambia. Increased activities include couples voluntary counseling and testing; data management and analysis; clinical care in outpatients clinics; molecular work in the laboratories; and financial and administrative management. RZHRG is committed to providing research training opportunities for rising accounting and administration professionals at the RZHRG sites. Trainees work alongside 250 Zambian and Rwandan colleagues and staff. Our alumni have gone on to work for the National Institutes of Health, Population Services International, International AIDS Vaccine Initiative (IAVI), CDC, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Walter Reed Army Medical Center, US Agency for International Development, Emory University, and positions at other universities as well as medical school, nursing school, and other PhD programs.
