Job description:
Our client, a multinational medical device company, currently has a vacancy for a Product Development Engineer. This is a permanent role based at their Limerick facility.
We are interested in hearing from candidates with the following background and experience:
o Third level degree in Mechanical, Biomedical, Design, Chemical Engineering or similar discipline.
o 2 Years design experience medical device roles.
o Project planning skills.
o Knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
o Good mechanical design and understanding of engineering fundamentals with extensive medical device materials knowledge.
o Manufacturing design and process understanding
o Good working knowledge of Solidworks and/or Pro Engineer CAD.
o Strong technical writer.
o Knowledge of medical device quality & regulatory systems and medical device directives (ISO13485 and FDA CFR 820)
o Team Player with ability to develop strong working relationships.
o Strong communication and inter-personal skills.
o Good problem solving skills.
o Highly motivated individual, self starter with a passion for excellence.
o Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.
This is a challenging and varied role and the successful candidate will be responsible for the design, development and taking to market of medical devices.
