Product Care Association of Canada is recruiting for a temporary, full-time
Logistics & Services Coordinator position to cover paternity leave in
January 2017, for a 3 month period, subject to possible extension, based in the
False Creek/Mount Pleasant area of Vancouver.


Product Care is a non-profit industry organization that develops and manages
recycling programs across Canada and in the US. We are proud to manage
collection and recycling programs for special waste products like lighting,

The successful candidate should be an enthusiastic and committed individual
with a background in logistics and customer service, able to thrive in a
fast-paced, dynamic environment where multi-tasking is a must.

Duties include but not limited to:
• Receive and acknowledge pickup and deliveries requests via phone, fax and
emails,
• Coordinate the logistics of pickups and deliveries between collection sites,
suppliers and processors,
• Ensure all service request are fulfilled in a timely manner,
• Create & distribute shipping Bills of Lading and other documentation,
• Manage inventory of stock both on premise and at vendors/suppliers,
• Perform data entry & tracking analysis to support and complete all
shipments for required monthly reports,
• Response to inquiries by public, service providers and collection partners,
• Recruit, process and register new collection depots in computer database as
required,
• Maintain and improve daily and ongoing relationship with existing and new
collection sites,
• Review and approve invoices as required,
• Assist shipper when required with assembling orders, receiving stock and
shipping supplies,
• Other duties as assigned as required, including support of facility
maintenance

The ideal candidate will have the following abilities:
• Post secondary training in the Transportation / Logistics Industry or
equivalent 2 years experience in the Transportation / Logistics Industry
• Customer service oriented
• Ability to multi-task in a fact paced environment
• Strong written, communication and analytical skills
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Accurate data entry skills
• Experience with MS Access an asset.
• Ability to work well with fellow staff, collection sites & transporters.

Ideally, the candidate would be able to start as soon as possible to allow for
training.
