CANADA* PURPOSE OF POSITION: This position is key
to ensuring that World Visions engagement with the UN-led, Post-2015 process is
well managed, coordinated and goal driven towards the achievement of our
strategic objectives. Reporting to the Director, External Relations and in
coordination with the A&JC Management Team, he or she will provide planning
support to keep the team on track in achieving project milestones as part of
the post 2015 strategy. Primary objectives include supporting the Director,

the post 2015 strategy. Primary objectives include supporting the Director,
External Relations and the A&JC Management team to ensure:
- the achievement of the Partnerships Post 2015
objectives - the internal coordination of Post 2015 working
groups to ensure joined up and integrated work - the external coordination of Partnership
engagement in relevant coalitions, official UN and other Post 2015
processes - the development of necessary internal and
external resources to engage effectively in the process at all levels
(national, regional, global).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and support implementation of project
management plan and calendar for engagement in the processes, - Responsible for tracking the UN-led post 2015
development agenda and supporting the External Relations Director and
A&JC management team to ensure consistent, coordinated and timely
response and input by WV as appropriate, - Support the A&JC Management Team on
respective inputs (External Relations, Policy, Campaigns, Child Rights,
NO/RO support, Communications) into the processes, - Provide planning and logistics support for
planned Post 2015 events
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s degree in closely related field,
- Strong experience and understanding of UN
systems and structures, - Strong application skills: PowerPoint, Excel,
Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office Suite, - A minimum of 5 years experience in managing
projects and processes, - Skilled in all areas of project management
process, procedures, documentation, checklists and reporting criteria and
project management and tracking including the management of costs,
schedule, quality, and risk. - Understands and can personally execute all
aspects of project management and delivery, strong organizational and
planning skills PREFERRED: - Project Management Professional (PMP)
certification a plus - Proficient in organizational analysis and
design - Able to design facilitation processes and
exhibit effective facilitation skills able to travel internationally in
order to carry out responsibilities
