scope of services required in a project from start to completion,
including property development, engineering design, contracts administration
and project management. With a track record spanning two decades in Singapore,
it has also aggressively expanded to other countries in Asia Pacific, such as
Malaysia, Indonesia, Myanmar and China. Its possesses a diverse project
portfolio including industrial, office buildings, commercial, residential and
infrastructural projects. Now its Malaysia branch in Kuala Lumpur requires an
energetic and experienced Principal Design Engineer.

The Position
You will lead a team of structural design consultants with the objective of
providing design solutions to clients for their projects. You will ensure that
the proposed calculations of your members are accurate and in accordance with
the various design codes and client’s requirements. The clients must be advised
on the best methods of construction based on value and feasibility with
reference to their design brief.

Expect to actively meet clients and
propose designs for the overall structural frame, reinforced concrete work,
steel works, site temporary access paths, etc and also check and approve
proposed shopdrawings and method statements. Solutions must be proposed should
there be changes to the requirements as mentioned by the client or architect.

The projects to be handled are
mainly high-rise residential or commercial projects throughout Malaysia.

The Person
Interested candidates should possess at least a good Bachelor or Master’s
degree in Civil Engineering and also be a registered Professional Engineer with
the Board of Engineers, Malaysia. A rough guideline is a minimum 7-10 years of
experience in structural design, preferably with consultancy firms.
