Role Specific Requirements:
• Adheres to food safety requirement as per company standards
• Ensures the right concentration of treatment chemicals in the water
• Ensures that all products conform to company specifications
• Maintains accurate, legible records of all tests and retests performed
• Carries out all routine laboratory test and other non-routine work in the section
• Generates daily and weekly summary reports on all parameters
• Maintains, cleans and calibrates lab instruments in the section
• Initiates corrective action on any result that fall out of company specification
• Troubleshoots and reports detected mechanical and electrical faults on the production equipment
• Records all occurrences on activities during a shift.
• Ensures security restriction status of the area is obeyed
• Maintains good housekeeping status of the plant
Required Skills or Experience
Minimum Qualification:
• HND in Laboratory Technology or equivalent
• 2 years work experience
• Good Statistical Process Control background
• Good oral and written communication
• Strong IT background in MS suite
• Knowledge of the process of water treatment
• Technical report writing skills
