OPEN PIT MINE SURVEYOR
There are three major attractions for this Mine Surveying role.
• Incorporates exploration, open pit and underground survey duties
• Joining a well integrated team made up of the Senior Surveyor, Graduate surveyor and Quarry and Underground Manager, which will enhance you mining know how and leadership skills beyond what can be expected for a Mine Surveyor at most operations.
• Mine Manager has a vision to create a survey crew with the technical aptitude to handle any survey requirement be that in the pit, underground or on one of the many tenements found with in a 150km radius of current mining activity.
You must have a desire to work in both underground and open pit environments, as there are plans for all Surveyors to work towards their Grade One Authorisation. Long term mining plans include new pits and underground mines in the coming years providing dedicated technical staff the option of moving into mine planning down the track, in line with the policy to promote from within.
Requirements include a tertiary Survey qualification and mining experience would be preferred, as well as some familiarity with WA mining regulations.
