Pacific Northwest Raptors is a company based out of Duncan, BC. We work with birds of prey to promote conservation and raise awareness of raptors through education. We are hiring for a bird control officer (BCO) position for six months May-September based in Manitoba.
We work with trained raptors to deter problem species and provide bird control in a landfill setting. A diploma, degree or strong background in science would be a strong advantage, as would any animal training background. Candidates must be physically fit, active, willing to work year round in all weather conditions. They must be organized, reliable, and have strong communication skills. Work site involves working near heavy machinery; any experience with such an environment would be an asset. First aid also an asset.
