Do you love organizing exciting events that make a meaningful impact? And do you have what it takes?
If so, we have an immediate opening to join our team, build on our current success, be the chief organizer for
the Public Open House (and related events) for SSX 2102 | ONTARIO – Solar Summit & eXpo in Toronto, Ontario, Canada – June 25-26, 2012 (http://www.SSX2012.com), to build public awareness, understanding, and support for Ontario’s solar policies.
This begins as a two-month contract, but can be the beginning of a long-term gig, for lots of exciting programs in the works in Ontario, and elsewhere. Full-time is highly preferred, but part-time for the right person is also possible.
You can work from anywhere you have a phone and internet access. In fact – that’s the preference, but we also have space at CSI – Centre for Social Innovation, in Downtown Toronto.
The ideal candidate(s) possess all or most of these traits:
1. Available immediately.
2. Experienced in organizing events for the public – getting sponsors, speakers, volunteers & media involved.
3. Organized, dependable, self-motivated, get ‘er done, team-player, able to manage volunteers and interns.
4. Creative, out-of-the-box, strategist – or enjoy working with such creatures.
5. Not looking for big bucks, but for an opportunity to grow with a small, dynamic organization (Ontario Solar Network), and do interesting things, for a wonderful cause, with good people.
6. Knowledgeable of the Solar industry in Ontario – or super-interested in learning, fast!
