In order to grow more effectively, we seek an an experienced Maintenance Team Leader who will be responsible for the safety, organization, training and leadership of maintenance employees.

This is an ideal opportunity to lead a conscientious, enthusiastic, dedicated and talented team of tradesmen with a proven ability to troubleshoot complex problems and a long history of working together. You will have the opportunity to take this team to the next level by coaching and developing employees to optimize their performance.

You will:
* Provide leadership and direction to maintenance crews.
* Facilitate and promote a safe and positive working environment for all employees under your direction.
* Lead the maintenance team to achieve objectives and targets in safety, quality, costs and employee engagement.
* Ensure that machine center up time is maintained to the highest possible standard.
* Identify major sources of downtime and develop and implement strategies to reduce or eliminate them.

Requirements:
To be considered for this opportunity you are a team player with:
* Trades background (millwright certification is ideal) in a large resource-based industry with at least 5 years of experience as a supervisor or similar role managing maintenance crews in a unionized workforce involving various trades.
* Knowledge of high and low pressure air systems with knowledge of wood pelletizing is preferred but not required.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required with a proven ability to work with others to plan and coordinate the completion of routine, non-routine and emergency work.
* Excellent analytical, problem solving, planning, organizational and computer skills
* Knowledge of preventative and predictive maintenance systems.
* Experience with reliability centered maintenance, root cause analysis and project management.
* An exceptional safety record is essential along with a personal commitment to ensuring safety and hygiene requirements are complied with and continuously improved upon.
* Ability to lead continuous improvement activities to ensure targets are met through equipment and process improvements.
