Group, known in south east Queensland as Kitchen TRENDS, is a market leader in
kitchen manufacturing throughout the south east corridor, with showrooms
located in Brisbane and the Gold Coast. The company operates its own cabinetry
factory in Burleigh Heads.
Due to continued
growth, we are looking for a person to take over the newly created role of
Operations Manager. This role is a key position relieving some of the workload
from the current business owners and take on the overall responsible for the
complete management of the technical side to the business.
This dynamic
leadership position will see you optimizing staffing resources to meet
production and efficiency targets. You will be responsible for
determining production priorities and implementing schedules and deadlines, as
well as ensuring quality and production standards for the division.
Reporting directly
to the business owner, the position will form part of the overall management
team that runs the business where you will manage the technical operations
including production, factory and site management. You will manage scheduling
and manufacturing methodology, staffing, supplier relationships and oversee all
estimating, production and installation processes.
Reporting to the
this role will be the Factory Supervisor and his factory team, Production
Planning Team, Site Supervisors including and admin support staff.
This is a hands on
role leading by example of experience and skills, controlling a medium sized
growing team and you must be able to demonstrate to the team that your previous
experience and qualifications are results driven.
The person we are
looking for in this role will have a strong management approach to supervision
and training and must be a strong leader.
Experience in a
management role in a cabinet making or building environment of at least 5
years.
Efficient, dedicated
and approachable management skills.
A cabinet making
background and qualifications in joinery is essential with a BSA licence and a
background in building or renovations will be a distinct advantage.
A proven their
ability to build and manage a cohesive team in a previous similar role.
A thorough working
knowledge and understanding of Cabinet Vision will be seen as a distinct
advantage but not essential.
Experience in
production planning including detailing and managing installation and
manufacturing deadlines.
Experience in
estimating project work.
Ability to implement
procedures.
Team building,
training and motivation.
Able to maintain and
