Position Summary





The
position of a mental health professional exists within the
Northern Beaches Mental Health Service- Assertive Outreach Team. The
position provides a comprehensive range of assessments and treatments to
clients who have a mental illness and/or are significantly affected by mental
health problems. The role involves providing assertive outreach psychiatric
services to persons living in the Northern Beaches. This involves intensive
case management, referral calls, treatment, management planning, review and
discharge, undertaking comprehensive mental state examination, psychiatric
risk, suicide assessments, and telephone crisis counselling and psycho-social
interventions. This role also involves working within a multidisciplinary
framework and liaison with families and carers; GP’s and Private Psychiatrists;
government and non-government organisations.
This
position is Permanent Full Time and is classified as a
Registered
Nurse -$1087.10-$1526.60
Allied
Health Professiona, Level 1/2 l-$1088.70-$1577.30 or
Psychologist-$1150-$1709.40
Note
that employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if the position
cannot be filled on a permanent basis.
