ute, sub-acute, aged care and community services.
The Hume Region
Aboriginal Health Cultural Competence Framework (AHCCF) was developed as part
of the region’s Closing the Health Gap implementation plan to help health
service providers across the Ovens, Murray and Goulburn health regions to
review their current practice, identify priority areas for action and work
together with Aboriginal service providers and community members to provide
services that better meet the needs of Aboriginal communities.
The core role of the
Cultural Framework Audit Coordinator is to effectively engage with senior staff
within health and community services across the Hume Region to ensure buy-in
and commitment to the Framework and undertaking the associated audit process.
This also includes engaging with Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations,
Traditional Owner groups and other relevant partners to ensure trained
facilitators are available to deliver the appropriate component of the audit
within the health service.
This organisation
promotes the safety and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander
