is seeking a Part-time Announcer to perform various live shifts on weekends and
holiday where required. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this individual
will thrive on challenges and perfecting their craft. The right candidate will
have a can-do attitude and be part of a high functioning team that has a
passion for radio and winning.

Responsibilities:
- Be
flexible and available for various shows on weekends and all statutory
holidays - Prepare
for program using all means possible including, but not limited to:
station logs, equipment checks, internet, newspapers and magazines,
personal contacts, public service notices, current events files and other
related material - Execute
all program activities according to station format, style, content and
philosophy - Ensure
all material is aired, or if not, report as required, material not aired
as scheduled - Voice
commercial messages and record/edit interviews - Attend
community or related organization functions as required - Attend
station or client promotional events as required - Carry
out remotes as required - Emcee
station and community events - Flexible
covering various shifts between Squamish and Whistler when required
Qualifications:
- Minimum
of two years industry experience on-air required - Post-Secondary
Radio Broadcasting diploma or degree preferred - Excellent
organizational and interpersonal skills - Ability
to work independently with minimum supervision - Highly
motivated, enthusiastic individual - Computer
literate, with preferred experience with the latest versions of the Wide
Orbit Automation System, Music Master Music Scheduling System, Adobe
Audition, Newsroom for Windows - Comfortable
driving in snow when required
