an international management consultancy firm.
Our reputable client is recruiting an Office IT
Support Specialist who will be responsible for helping the colleagues in
Malaysia and Asia South office to get their daily IT problems resolved
effectively, throu
gh providing basic telecoms assistance, and technical support
for Wintel based workstation equipment (incl. MS Office, Windows 7/8, and Lotus
Notes). Also, you will be responsible for workstation configuration, hardware
& software maintenance and troubleshooting, hardware inventory and
ordering, as well as IT-related administrative duties.
Key Job Responsibilities
Include:
- Configure IT equipment (incl. laptops,
desktops, Blackberry/IOS/Android, wireless routers, etc.) using standard
configuration procedures, and provide 1st and 2nd-level end-user support
on hardware and software applications, including Windows 7/8, Lotus Notes,
and Smartphone. - Support seamless operation of video/audio
conference and other infrastructure services as appropriate. - Provide off-site and event support.
- Work with the Global Helpdesk and
Infrastructure Support teams to provide technical support and troubleshooting
on hardware, software, network and connectivity queries. - Coordinate and manage administrative tasks
such as ticket management system updates, inventory tracking, software
licensing, and hardware rental. - Manage external IT services providers.
- Work closely with Logistic coordinators to
ensure timely shipment of equipment. - Continue to seek improvement in work
processes through automation and standardization. - Conduct end user training for IT products
(e.g., Blackberry/IOS, laptop) as needed. - Help deploy projects locally/regionally,
in collaboration with central IT and regional IT teams.
Job Requirements
Prerequisites
- University degree desired
- Strong command of English language
- At least 2-years helpdesk/end-user support
experience, ideally in a professional services environment

Technical skills and
experience
- Deep knowledge of standard IT
applications, experience with technical end-user support and
troubleshooting - Knowledge of MS Windows 7 / 8, MS Office
suite, IOS/Android/Blackberry - Exposure to Lotus Notes and/or other
groupware package - Familiarity with video/audio conference
setup, door security systems, and LAN/WAN/VoIP infrastructure
