We’re a small family farm looking for help for the spring and summer season.
The ideal candidate will have a willingness to learn a
nd an excellent work
ethic. Previous farm experience is an asset. Experience in construction or
general labour, and familiarity with tools and equipment are especially
helpful.
Our farm is a very diverse mixed operation with an apple orchard, greenhouses,
market garden, flocks of chickens and ducks, sheep, pigs and cattle. You must
be comfortable with animals and have a working knowledge of gardening.
We also run a market stand during the summer months so customer service
experience will be considered an asset.
Responsibilities will include any of the following:
• Daily care and feeding of animals
• Mucking and cleaning animal areas
• Planting
• Weeding
• Harvesting
• General labour, cleaning, repair and maintenance work
• Market stand sales
In return we provide:
• Accommodation (travel trailer with heat, full kitchen and bath, linens and
towels etc.)
• Meals (no special dietary requests except serious allergies)
• Free membership to our local recreation centre
• Possibility of wages and additional paid work
