The
Hostel Manager is responsible for the overall management of the hostel, its
facilities and services. Including management of additional employees and
ensuring that all policies and procedures are complied with.

- Management
of all current hostel operating and procedures; - Guest
check-in/out, answering of telephone, email queries and general enquiries,
writing over day book (booking system). - Collecting
deposits, daily payments and rents, using cash and Credit Cards/Eftpos. - Balancing
till and banking. - Supervise
staff and staff roosters, keeping time books. - Allocation
of work to backpackers - Supervise
Car transport for backpackers - Maintain
good relationship with contractors - Hands
on duties. Required - Making
sure common rooms are clean and tidy. Kitchen is kept functional and
clean. Empty garbage bins - Wash
and dry linen - Check
and ready rooms for new arrivals etc. - Orders
