Key
Responsibilities
i. Responsible to the Deputy Vice Chancellor responsible for Academic, Research
and Consultancy matters, and to the Deputy Vice Chancellor responsible for
Planning Finance and Administration for matters related to the College
institute.
ii. The academic and administrative head of the College institute and
ex-officio Chairperson of the College institute/Academic Board.
iii. Serve as liaison between the University and the College institute in
handling of matters of interest to the University
iv. Oversee the consultancy activities within the College institute.
v. Coordinate the execution of programs, policies and decisions which the
University approve or adopts
vi. Table to the University, College institute, matters which require
considerations and approval.
vii. Prepare and present the College institute budget to the University.
viii. Affirm to the University the adequacy of staff coordination and
contribution in matters presented for consideration
ix. Interpret the University instructions to the College institute
x. Originate and/or approves administrative controls to ensure integrated
execution of College institute programs
xi. Report to the University on the overall efficiency, effectiveness and
economy of College institute operations
xii. Facilitate learning (by teaching) of academic programs in the College/
Institute
xiii. Assign duties and delegate to the College institute staff in their
execution of programs and policies which the University adopts subject to such
controls as it may establish
xiv. Review and approve major College institute management methods,
organization changes and recommends to the University.
xv. Supervise and maintain acceptable standard discipline of staff in the
College/ Institute
xvi. Ensure that appropriate matters are presented or communicated to the
University at the proper time.
xvii. Develop formal definition and communication of College institute
programs, Policies, procedures.
xviii. Supervise work performance of the staff in the College institute
xix. Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the University.

Tenure

The Principal shall hold the office for a term of three (3) years and may be
reappointed consecutively for one more term of three (3) years upon
